QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE | クイーンズ・オブ・ザ・ストーン・エイジ – UNIVERSAL MUSIC JAPAN
米カルフォルニア州パームデザート出身のハードロックバンド。1997年にKyuss（カイアス）のギタリストだったJosh Homme（ジョシュ・オム）を中心に結成された。1997年、デビューアルバム『Queens Of The Stone Age』をリリース。2000年にリ発表した2ndアルバム『R指定』は、英NME誌の「アルバム・オブ・ザ・イヤー」に選ばれ、一躍注目を集める。2002年にはデイヴ・グロール（フー・ファイターズ）をドラマーとして迎え（ツアーにも参加）、3rdアルバム『Songs for the Deaf』を発表し、世界的な人気を確立。その後、ドラマーとしてジョン・セオドア（元マーズ・ヴォルタ）が参加し、そのままメンバーとなった。代表曲は2002年の「No One Knows」他。
